wait imagine the boys and jamie have to join a teams call with you for whatever reason while they're on tour (all individually, btw, because they're scattered around the hotel), and matty gets really ridiculously homesick during it because at one point (while jamie's talking) mayhem's head is visible and you just smile really sweetly at him and pat his head; it kinda backfires, though, because he falls asleep and starts snoring when you're meant to present something lmao, and you're like 😬 while the guys all laugh. you're like "yeah thanks mayhem. hold on everyone let me move somewhere quieter" and talk to everyone as you wander to the living room, and matty's like "you know i'm actually quite enjoying the tour of my own house lol. are those new cushions on the sofa? i like them" - you're like "anthropologie sale. speaking of sales, actually..." before going back into your work report discussion like the corporate professional you are, and matty's just enamoured with you lol. like, to the point where you have to private teams message him like "stop making disney princess eyes at me we r at WORK", and he replies like "didn't even realise i was doing that lol i just think you're extra pretty today. also do you have any data on merch sales at shows? just to see what's working and what's not xx"; you're like "yeah. do you need it urgently or can i walk mayhem first?", and matty's like "no rush. be careful when you take him out pls ily xx", and you smile at him on the screen and say "always am. ily2. and i'll look out the data for you asap xx" lol <3
